Seriously!: Prologue + Chapter 1

Original Fiction, Seriously! No Comments

A weird idea that came to while I was cramming for my exams XD. Enjoy ^^

———

It was a case of carelessness on my part. Procrastination became my best friend as the entire school year whizzed by. Due to my heinous work ethic, it was no surprise for my teacher that I had ended up spending a couple of days of my summer in school.

Pathetic, party of one.

Okay, maybe I’m not the only kid who got stuck in this mess. There were a few others who were on the same boat as me.“The Chosen Ones” my friend Sasha joked when I told her the news. I was not amused. Not at all.

The only good thing about this was my ‘sentence’ was reasonably shorter than the rest of my fellow inmates. I just need to finish what I had to do in two weeks and I would be able to enjoy my summer vacation like everyone else.

Sounds easy enough… right? Oh. Better not jinx it then.

My name’s Adelle, by the way.

Train Tracks and Anxiety Attacks

Original Fiction 3 Comments

I thought this would be a good piece to start with. I wrote this for a summer writing class I did last May. My final project that had ‘Desire’ as the theme. Here was my interpretation of it.

——————————-

Adam loathed commuting to and from his college. He lived very far from the school and the journey in between would remind him of the distance frequently. In order to get to class on time, Adam had to be up at 4AM sharp in order to beat the traffic going to the train station. What added to the boy’s ire was that he had to ride the train all the way to the end of the line to get to his destination. Throw in some insensitive commuters and you have got one surly boy on his way to class.
